To make the NBA finals two years in a row, Gary Payton and company will have to play aggressive defense. But before the Sonics get too rough or violent, they might want to read State v. Shelley. In that case, our state appeals court had to decide whether a basketball player who punched an opponent was guilty of criminal assault.
