Six years back, Zillow expanded its presence at the Russell Investments Center to about 306,000 square feet — over one third of the tower. At that pre-pandemic peak, it had the top 14 floors in the 42-story building at 1301 Second Ave., once the headquarters of Washington Mutual — before its collapse. Zillow shed two floors to Convoy in 2021.
Then, CoStar reported last October that Zillow was seeking to sublease even more space. The DJC then asked the company for confirmation, but the brokers and number of floors and square feet remained vague.
