Two neighboring apartment buildings, at 235 and 247 Tacoma Ave. S., have sold for just over $8 million, according to broker Paragon Real Estate Advisors.

On Monday, the Seattle City Council, in partnership with Mayor Bruce Harrell, passed a new tree protection ordinance. The legislation now heads to the mayor for his signature and will take effect 60 days after it's approved.

68 Bellingham units planned for downtown corner
