On the Block: Wallace joins the Bellevue office stampede on 112th

Can we just call it Amazon Row? About a gazillion square feet are planned, all seemingly on a speculative basis, along the east edge of downtown Bellevue. That stretch of 112th Avenue Northeast, almost directly west of the freeway, is already seeing serious office proposals from out-of-towners Tishman Speyer and Lane Partners. With an eye toward the opening of two nearby light-rail stations in 2023, they may even break ground without any signed tenants.

But, as the DJC first reported nearly two years ago, local firm Wallace Properties also has an iron in the fire. And, with Link Design Group, it's now in design review with 15- and 16-story towers at 222 112th Ave. N.E. that would add about 802,000 square feet of offices to the row.
