National apartment owner and developer Archstone is offering a Lease Assurance Program for its tenants in the New York City metropolitan area who are concerned about the stability of their jobs.
Tenants who sign or renew a lease at the 14 Archstone properties in that area before March 31 can cancel their agreement without penalty if they lose their main source of income due to a layoff without cause during the lease term. They must give at least 45 days notice before vacating.
