OLYMPIA (AP) Franklin, Island and Clark counties were the fastest-growing areas in the state last year, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates.
The population of Franklin County, in southeast Washington, grew 5.6 percent between July 2003 and July 2004, making it the 23rd fastest-growing county in the nation and the only Washington county to crack the top 100.
