Gas-tax hike will bring HOV lanes to Pierce County

  • Almost $800 million is going to Pierce County roadways, $425 million of that for HOV lanes.

    Washington state has spent more than $1.5 billion in state and federal money to build about 200 miles of high-occupancy vehicle lanes. All but 17 of those 200 miles are in King County.
