FIFA Construction Pause is over! Seattle summer construction set to resume today

Fans march down Western Avenue Monday, on their way to the last 2026 FIFA World Cup match to be hosted here in Seattle. SDOT says contractors can return to work in the right-of-way starting today, but they should be extra cautious.

With Seattle’s FIFA hosting duties complete, many construction projects around the city are set to resume today on city streets and sidewalks.
