County eyes sales tax to fix roads

SEATTLE — A proposed countywide sales tax increase aimed at bolstering King County's road and bridge funding will be considered this week by the King County Transportation District Board of Supervisors.

The proposal would add a 0.1% sales tax, projected to generate about $100 million annually for transportation infrastructure.
