Tacoma updates maintenance code

TACOMA — The Tacoma City Council has passed Ordinance 29125. Effective Jan 1, the ordinance will implement a consistent, comprehensive, and legally defensible standard for property maintenance in the city as well as strengthening tools for addressing repeat and chronic violations.

The city says the update will modernize property maintenance standards and strengthen neighborhood livability.
