Washington shipyards get $5M in federal infrastructure grants

Delta Marine Industries in Seattle received $1.51 million to purchase a new travelift, which will be used to lift large vessels out of the water for maintenance and repair.

Six Washington state shipyards will receive more than $5.2 million in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration (MARAD) Small Shipyard Grant Program, Sen. Maria Cantwell announced last week.
