Kinwell Medical Group recently opened a primary care clinic in Ballard at 1416 N.W. 46th St. (Suite 7), and another in the South Lake Union neighborhood at 224 Westlake Ave. N. (Suite 100).
The Ballard clinic is 6,655 square feet and the Westlake clinic is 5,624 square feet. Both were created in existing buildings, with interiors designed by Ankrom Moisan. Ferris-Turney General Contractors built out the Westlake space and Venture General Contracting built the Ballard clinic.
Kinwell is an exclusive in-network provider for people with Premera Blue Cross or LifeWise Health Plan of Washington insurance. It says its clinics help address long wait times and a lack of accessible primary care, with an average wait time of less than 24 hours for new patient appointments. That compares to 26 days nationally and 28 days in Seattle, according to AMN/Merritt Hawkins' 2022 Survey of Physician Appointment Wait Times.
Kinwell says the new clinics' treatment suites are designed for patient comfort, “blending the latest in technology with thoughtful details that create a welcoming experience for guests.”
The Seattle-based company launched in 2021 and now has 16 clinics throughout the state, including recently opened clinics in Olympia, Poulsbo, Yakima, Lynnwood and Mill Creek. In June, it opened a clinic on Denny Way in Seattle and expects to open another clinic by year end in Redmond.
