Kirkland-based Appen appointed Fab Dolan as chief marketing officer. Dolan joins Appen with over 15 years of experience building global brands such as Android, Google, YouTube, and Cheerios. In his most recent role, he served as global marketing director for Android at Google, where he built a go-to-market function for the mobile platform while overseeing investments across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Prior to Android, Dolan was the marketing director at Google Canada. He has been recognized by Marketing Magazine, Adweek and Communication Arts for his accomplishments in the field of marketing. He also served on the board of the Marketing Association and was a founding member of the Coalition of Innovation Leaders Against Racism. Appen provides data services for deep learning and artificial intelligence systems. Dolan will be based out of Appen's offices in North America. Founded in 1996, Appen has customers and offices globally.
Camping World announced that it is set to acquire Halterman's RV in the greater Seattle market. It is anticipated to close in the third quarter of 2023. Camping World is headquartered in Lincolnshire, IL, and (together with its subsidiaries) is one of America's largest retailers of RVs and related products and services, with RV sales and service locations in 42 states.
Forbes recently named Banner Bank one of the World's Best Banks for the fourth consecutive year. To create its 2023 list, Forbes partnered with Statista to survey more than 48,000 banking clients in 14 languages and 32 countries, asking for their opinions on their current and former banking relationships. Banks were rated on general satisfaction (30% of final score) and whether the customer would recommend the bank (30%). The final 40% came from customer ratings in five key areas: trust, financial advice, digital services, customer services and terms and conditions. This recognition from Forbes comes on the heels of Newsweek naming Banner Bank one of the Most Trustworthy Companies in America, S&P Global Market Intelligence naming Banner one of the 50 top performing U.S. public banks, and earlier this year Forbes named Banner as one of the 100 Best Banks in America for the seventh consecutive year. Erik Prusch joined ISACA as its new CEO. Based in Washington state, Prusch brings tech and leadership experience as a CEO and board director to the organization. Prior to joining ISACA, Prusch served as CEO of Outerwall, Lumension, NetMotion Wireless, Clearwire and Borland Software. He has been a board member for RealNetworks, WASH, Calero Software and Keynote Systems. Previously in his career, Prusch served as chief financial officer for a number of public companies, such as Identix and Borland, and for divisions of public companies, such as Gateway Computers and PepsiCo. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche (then Touche Ross). Prusch holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business. ISACA is a global professional association and learning organization that leverages the expertise of its 170,000 members who work in digital trust fields such as information security, governance, assurance, risk, privacy and quality. It has a presence in 188 countries, including 225 chapters worldwide, with global headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
Cyemptive Technologies named Ray McCay as chief revenue officer. In this newly created position, McCay will be responsible for solution and customer value strategy, customer satisfaction, marketing, promotions, revenue generation and solution positioning for Cyemptive. He will focus on organizations and entities that prioritize the highest attainable security posture, such as critical supply chain organizations and high value organizations often targeted by organized crime and other cyber criminals. This announcement is part of a strategic initiative Cyemptive began in December 2022 to expand the company and position it for the next level of growth. McCay brings nearly 25 years of experience with Hitachi Data Systems in engineering and sales roles, including nine years as senior vice president of global product strategy and three years as senior vice president of global solution sales. Most recently, McCay was responsible for multicloud strategy for a private firm working with multiple U.S. federal government agencies. Previously, he was responsible for technology acquisitions at McDonnell Douglas. Cyemptive is headquartered in Snohomish.
Wood Technologies International, a supplier of modern lumber processing equipment, technology, and essential tooling based appointed President Dale Brown to CEO, effective June 30. Outgoing CEO Craig Tompkins will serve as a strategic advisor to the Board of Directors of Wood Technologies. Brown has had a 37-year tenure with Wood Technologies and predecessor company USNR, starting his career in 1986 as an accounting data entry clerk. Past positions included chief accountant, controller, vice president, senior vice president, and CEO of USNR in 2018. Brown was named president of Wood Technologies upon the USNR/Wood Fiber Group merger in 2021. Tompkins helped spearhead the merger of Wood Technologies' predecessor companies: mill automation, equipment supplier and technology system integrator USNR, and sawmill parts supplier/manufacturer Wood Fiber Group, in November 2021. Tompkins also helped lead and integrate Wood Technologies' July 2022 acquisitions of Timber Automation, a provider of custom engineered equipment, aftermarket parts, controls and optimization systems; and The Knife Source, a manufacturer of machine knives used in waste wood chipper machines and brush chipper equipment. Wood Technologies has 1,500 employees and 30 operating sites, and is based in Woodland.

City Manager Carl Cole named Mary Tuttle as the new director of parks and recreation for the city of SeaTac. Tuttle is just the third parks director in the city's 32-year history. She replaces Lawrence Ellis, who is retiring. Tuttle served in various positions at Metro Parks Tacoma for the past 17 years. She began her career at Metro Parks Tacoma in 2006 as a dance programs coordinator, later becoming the senior arts coordinator before being promoted to recreation manager in 2014. In this position, Tuttle was responsible for setting the vision, direction, and long-range planning of programming within recreation. She also led a team of 350 staff, while developing and providing oversight for six biennial budgets and business plans. In Tacoma, Tuttle lead external partnerships for her agency which included, the Boys and Girls Club of South Puget Sound, the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties, Greenstrike and Tacoma Public Schools to jointly provide the Beyond the Bell and Club Beyond programs in all 36 Tacoma Elementary schools and 12 Middle Schools, which addressed the need for after-school childcare. In addition, Tuttle created and launched the Elementary Sports League in conjunction with multiple partners to create an after-school activity for the youth of Tacoma. Tuttle collaborated with Tacoma Public Schools Next Move program, for youth development and to create a pathway for summer jobs. She was also responsible for the development and launch of the Mobile Teaching Kitchen Program which is designed to address health inequities and food insecurity. Tuttle graduated with a bachelor's degree in dance education from the University of South Florida. The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) has certified Tuttle as a Parks and Recreation Professional. She is also an active member of the NRPA's Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies.

Emerald Heights, a Life Plan Community in Redmond, named Mandy Bossard as its new director of human resources. Bossard will oversee the HR team, recruit and onboard new employees, lead trainings, administer employee benefit plans, create and implement employee recognition programs, and manage the employee lifecycle.
Bossard has more than 12 years of HR experience in both public and private sectors. Her specialties include recruitment, retention and employee relations. Bossard earned her bachelor's degree in political science from Eastern Washington University and holds a Senior HR Professional certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. Emerald Heights is a resort-style senior living community, with an on-site healthcare center providing assisted living, memory support and Medicare-certified skilled nursing care. The community provides residences, amenities and services to people ages 55 and older.

Washington Trust Bank added Timo Norring to its Small Business Banking team in Seattle to serve as vice president and small business relationship manager. Norring brings over 23 years of experience in the banking industry, and has spent most of his career in western Washington, Norring specializes in cash management, commercial real estate, equipment financing and operating lines of credit. Norring attended the University of Redlands in Southern California, where he earned a bachelor's degree in international relations and an MBA. He has professional experience serving commercial, consumer and small business clients in similar roles with other financial institutions in the Puget Sound area. Norring also serves as board president for Parkview Services. Washington Trust Bank is a full-service commercial bank, serving the Northwest since 1902.
