Dylan Runne, an 11-time national champion in the sport of hydroplane racing, will take over as the new driver of the U-1 Miss HomeStreet boat, sponsored by HomeStreet Bank. Runne has been competing since he was eight years old across varying American and Canadian racing categories and series. He began racing inboard hydroplane boats in 2017, when he was named “Rookie of the Year.” Runne, who is twenty-eight years of age is from Rumson, New Jersey. Seattle-based CasaWire, a curated home decor digital B2B2C marketplace platform with editorial spotlighting designers, artisans, and artists from around the globe, is now available for download on Apple and Android devices. The latest launch from Wire Holdings, CasaWire builds on the success the company has had connecting the consumer with emerging and established brands in the fashion and beauty spaces, with the FashWire and GlossWire app and web-based shopping platforms. CasaWire enables users to discover trending products or search results by country, category, or brand. A private interactive social feed enables designers and consumers to share style ideas, inspirations, and photos. Designers like Barrie Livingstone, Jonathan Adler, Studio Pepe, Karim Rashid, and more will be showcasing design moments in the Rooms feature, which consumers will then be able to shop to achieve a similar look in their own homes. ExtraHop

Seattle-based ExtraHop, a provider of cloud-native network intelligence, has been named as a Representative Vendor in the 2022 Gartner Market Guide for Network Detection and Response. This is the third time that ExtraHop has been named as a Representative Vendor among the nineteen NDR vendors recognized. The report analyzes network detection and response (NDR) vendors and summarizes their product capabilities for consideration by global security management leaders. ExtraHop's cloud-native NDR solution, Reveal(x) 360, uses a decryption process that allows security teams to unify security controls across hybrid, multi-cloud, containerized and IoT environments. The Market Guide for Network Detection and Response was previously published as the Market Guide for Network Traffic Analysis in 2019.

TurnOnGreen

Imperalis Holding, to be renamed TurnOnGreen, announced the expansion of the company's electric vehicle charging network through the addition of two AVIS Car Rental locations in Alaska. The company has deployed and activated multiple high-power networked EVP1100 Level 2 EV chargers at the AVIS licensee's Anchorage and Juneau locations. AVIS Alaska has operated locations in Alaska for 65 years. As an AVIS system licensee, AVIS Alaska operates 12 locations throughout Alaska and maintains one of the largest vehicle fleets in the State.

TurnOnGreen offers scalable EV charging solutions for all types of commercial fleets. The company's charging station products, charging management software, and network services allow fleet operators to charge multiple vehicles rapidly and track energy use by the vehicle.

As part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Alaska Energy Authority will receive $7.8 million in federal fiscal year 2022 and $11.1 million in federal fiscal year 2023 from the United States Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program. AEA anticipates receiving approximately $52 million over the next five years through this program to build a network of DC fast chargers throughout Alaska. TurnOnGreen is headquartered in Milpitas, California.

NW Natural

Jon Huddleston, vice president of engineering and utility operations at NW Natural announced his retirement after 32 years at the company. Huddleston began his career at NW Natural journey as a design engineer and over the years has led engineering, technical training, business systems support, business analytics, technology implementation and federal pipeline safety compliance for the company. In his most recent role, he oversaw transmission and distribution construction, gas operations and maintenance, storage and plant operations, and gas control. In his career at NW Natural, Huddleston played a part in a multi-year initiative to standardize operations across company locations, essentially redesigning how NW Natural operated. He also worked with the Western Regional Operations Group in designing a peer-reviewed employee safety program that was soon employed nationally by the American Gas Association and is still used today. Huddleston will officially depart next spring, and the NW Natural Board of Directors has named Joe Karney to the position of vice president of engineering and utility operations, effective April 1, 2023. Karney started his career with Colonial Pipeline in Georgia, and then joined NW Natural as an integrity engineer. He has held positions in integrity management, construction operations, code compliance, and engineering and is currently senior director of utility operations. NW Natural is a local distribution company that provides natural gas service to approximately 2.5 million people in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Tacoma Arts Commission

The Tacoma Arts Commission recently awarded $138,000 in Community Arts Projects funding to 27 Tacoma organizations, groups, and businesses in support of 2023 public outreach projects in the fields of culture, dance, film, literary, music, performing, visual, and cross-disciplinary arts. Funded projects include the production of six cultural and arts festivals, four hands-on visual arts workshops, three music and performing arts series, two murals, two sound art projects, two video productions, two youth education programs, one community engagement project, one cultural dance party series, one dance performance series, one film festival, one literary arts publication and workshop, and one visual art exhibit. The Community Arts Projects funding program financially supports organizations and groups producing arts-focused community projects that are inclusive, accessible, and/or address equity issues. Community Arts Projects is one of two funding programs administered by the Tacoma Arts Commission.

The new Golftec Tacoma is now open. The is the sixth location in the Seattle area. The new training center is located at 3815 S Steele St, Suite H in Tacoma. The location features four training bays and the latest in teaching technology. The location also features Golftec's club fitting experience, TECFIT. This golf club fitting system matches ideal clubs and shafts to your swing. Additionally, the center will have a putting green, allowing staff to provide putting lessons and fittings with TECPUTT.

Symetra

Working with regulators in the U.S., Japan and Bermuda, Symetra Financial Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Life Insurance, announced that it had established Symetra Bermuda Re Ltd. to reinsure certain risks of Symetra Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Symetra Financial Corporation. Symetra Bermuda Re is registered with the Bermuda Monetary Authority as a Class C insurer. On Dec. 20, 2022, Symetra Bermuda Re completed its first reinsurance transaction, reinsuring an 80% quota share of fixed deferred and fixed indexed annuities issued by Symetra Life on and after Jan. 1, 2022. Symetra will increase staffing and operations in both the U.S. and Bermuda to support the newly formed entity. Marsh Management Services (Bermuda) Ltd. will provide insurance management services and compliance support. Symetra Investment Management Company, a registered investment advisor, will act as asset manager for Symetra Bermuda Re's investment portfolio.
