In Spokane, NAC Architecture hired Adam Rouns as an architect, Doug Flatow as an electrical designer, Julie Allen as a lighting designer, LeaAnne Townsend as a human resources coordinator and Ashlee Brewington as an accounting and payroll analyst. Rouns is working on the Lewis & Clark High School addition in Spokane, and the Cascade High School CTE renovation in Leavenworth. He was with Wolfe Architectural Group. Flatow is working on MultiCare Clinic renovations in Spokane and Spokane Valley, and the Kamiah Medical Clinic addition and modernization in Kamiah, Idaho. He was with MW Consulting Engineers. Allen is working on the Lewis & Clark High School addition and the MultiCare BiPlane Lab renovation. She was with Sazan Group in Seattle. Townsend is responsible for benefits, recruiting, on-boarding, and management support. She has a bachelor's in business administration with a major in human resources from Eastern Washington University. Brewington holds a bachelor's in accounting from Central Washington University and a master of accountancy from Gonzaga University. NAC specializes in planning, design, engineering, and capital facilities consulting services.

Seattle-based Board & Vellum hired Jill Burdeen as an associate. Burdeen has over 15 years of multifamily and mixed-use design experience, from townhouses to mid-rise apartment buildings. She has a bachelor's from Indiana University and a master's in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology. Board & Vellum provides architecture, interior design and landscape architecture.

In Kirkland, Blueline hired Kai Pope as an engineer/construction inspector on public works projects. In Tukwila, it hired Blake Erlandson as a landscape designer on residential and commercial projects. Pope has a bachelor's in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Washington and interned for Clark Construction Group in Seattle. Erlandson has a bachelor's in landscape architecture from Washington State University and was a landscape designer for New Horizons Landscape in Redmond. Blueline provides civil engineering, land use planning and landscape architecture.

Bremerton-based Rice Fergus Miller hired Stan Palmer as an architect in its H3 studios (health care, hospitality and housing for seniors). Palmer has over 20 years of experience in diverse project types. Rice Fergus Miller is an architecture, interior design, planning and visualization firm.

SCJ Alliance

Connolly

In Lacey, engineer Bob Connolly joined SCJ Alliance as a senior project manager who also does client management, business development and community involvement. Connolly helped lead Skillings Connolly for over 30 years. He designed sites for schools, colleges, libraries, fire stations and residential developments, and his work has included Lacey College Street Library. SCJ specializes in civil engineering, transportation planning and design, landscape architecture, environmental and urban planning, and public outreach.

Darr

Seattle architecture firm CollinsWoerman appointed Cameron Darr and Tessa Fox to associate, and promoted Andy Morison, Jay Blackburn, Leif Pearson, Nathan Copley and Richard Houts to senior associate, and Jamey Barlet, Joe Workman and Natasha Epstein to associate principal. The firm also named Tim Bissmeyer a principal. Darr and Fox were hired in 2015. Darr is designing small commercial projects and Fox is designing commercial and health care projects in the interior design practice. Morison was hired in 2006, and has designed and managed projects in every line of the practice. Blackburn was hired in 2011 and focuses on health care shell and core and TI projects. Pearson was hired in 2006 and specializes in concept design for commercial and health care projects. He also has implemented advanced software solutions firm-wide to assist with internal and external communication. Copley was hired in 2005 and works on Building Information Modeling for all projects. Houts was hired in 2009 and works in commercial and health care areas. Barlet joined the firm in 2004 and leads the health care practice and specializes in Lean and 3P processes for internal use and client applications. With this promotion, Barlet was also named a market leader in health care. Workman joined the firm in 2009 and is an entitlements expert. He was named a commercial market leader with this promotion. Epstein joined the firm full-time in 2010 after completing her internship. Project types she manages include health care, science and technology, and commercial. She also leads the CAD standards and recruitment initiative teams. Bissmeyer manages CollinsWoerman's operations and several strategic client relationships. He will continue in day-to-day management and expand his external role.

MW Consulting Engineers

Anthony Schoen, a principal mechanical engineer with Spokane-based MW Consulting Engineers, earned the ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional accreditation, which signifies in-depth knowledge and skills required to design complex systems in hospitals. MW said he is one of 13 HFDP-accredited professionals in the state.

In Seattle, DLR Group appointed to senior associate Holly Larabee (business development) and Matthias A. Olt, Sian Ye and Vicki Ha (all architecture). It appointed to associate Cole Franklin (structural engineering), Karli Perezchica (business development), Guide Rungamornchai (mechanical engineering), Daniel Trisler (electrical engineering), Sabrina Ames and Natasha Elia (both administration), and Joseph Hersheway, Leon Holloway, Kami Lemke, Jill Maltby and Shannon Payton (all architecture). DLR Group provides architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization.
