Schemata Workshop

Seattle-based Schemata Workshop promoted Marijana Cvencek to associate, and said staff member Sarah Haase has become a licensed architect. Cvencek won AIA Seattle's 2017 Young Architect Award. She has experience in multifamily construction and leads the Architecture in Schools program in the AIA Diversity Roundtable. Schemata provides architectural and urban design services.

Fanberg

Glosten, a Seattle-based naval architecture and marine engineering consultancy, appointed Morgan Fanberg as president. Fanberg succeeds John Springer III, and is the sixth president since the firm's founding in 1958. He will set the direction for Glosten, which he joined two decades ago. He led the marine engineering group, and was instrumental in expanding mechanical capabilities and developing the electrical engineering group. Under Springer's leadership, Glosten supported projects that included the refit of R/V Revelle for Scripps Institution of Oceanography and design of the M/V Guemes replacement ferry for Skagit County.

In Olympia, OAC Services hired Anjanet Collins as an assistant project manager. In Seattle, it hired Kaelin Sell as a marketing assistant, Morgan Woods as a project coordinator, Kathleen DesRosier as a senior project coordinator, Alec Weintraub as a senior project manager, Ashley Johnson as the operations coordinator, Kevin Smith, Carly Parkins and Claire Mueller as project engineers, and Drew Graham and Andrew Johnson as project managers. Collins will work on K-12 projects and construction management. She has nearly a decade of project coordination and management experience. Sell has two years of experience and will support marketing, public relations, business development and advertising. Woods has six years of experience. She is responsible for administration and organization skills for the construction management team and will support high-tech, corporate, municipal and hospitality clients. DesRosier has 20 years of experience and will provide administrative and organizational support for high-tech and corporate projects. Weintraub is on the education team. He has over 20 years of experience serving public and private clients and will work on Lake Washington School District projects. Ashley Johnson will help with administrative and organizational needs. Her 10 years of experience includes event planning, customer support, outreach and administration. Smith has three years of engineering and design experience. He will support corporate and high tech projects. Parkins has nearly five years of experience, and is on the education team. She will support Lake Washington School District projects. Mueller has over 10 years of experience and will work on high-tech and corporate projects. Graham, an engineer, will oversee a biomedical office project. He has over 10 years of experience and will contribute to the construction management team. Andrew Johnson is on the education team. He has four years of experience and will lead Lake Washington School District projects.

Seattle-based Shannon & Wilson appointed vice presidents Meg Strong and Bob Mitchell to its board of directors. Strong is a geologist/hydrogeologist and group leader of the environmental department. She has over 27 years of experience managing, investigating and providing strategy for environmental issues for corporations and municipalities. Mitchell joined the firm in 1997. He specializes in geotechnical and geotechnical earthquake engineering for design-build and design-bid-build projects in North America. The geotechnical and environmental engineering firm has over 300 employees in 12 offices in the U.S.

In Seattle, Environmental Science Associates hired Pam Xander as a principal associate. Xander has over 30 years of experience doing environmental studies and has worked on projects requiring State Environmental Policy Act/National Environmental Policy Act processes. She has consulted for other local firms and ran her own firm specializing in SEPA and permitting for 18 years. Her work has included the Space Needle renovations. ESA is an environmental planning and design firm.

Engineering and professional services consultancy WSP USA named Stephen Kambol a senior project manager in Seattle, responsible for management, design and delivery of large rail projects. Kambol has nearly four decades of experience in engineering, management, business development and client service, focused on highway and rail projects. He was Pacific Northwest rail/transit department manager for an international engineering firm.
