In Seattle, DOWA-IBI Group Architects hired Ross Parker as a senior architect and Kathryn Gannon as a senior designer. In Portland, it hired Brett Lundmark as a designer, Andrew Werth as an architect, Timothy Ruppel as a job captain, Kristin Belz as a marketing coordinator, and Rudy Schuver and Matt Jacoby as project managers. Parker is working on BASIS School in Bellevue and Mary Lyon Elementary School for Tacoma Public Schools. Gannon has 11 years of experience designing educational environments, including in the Bellevue School District and Seattle/Tacoma region. Lundmark has over 20 years of design experience, and is working on additions for Reynolds High School. Werth has worked on educational facilities in New Mexico and is working on McMinnville High School's addition and remodel. Ruppel holds a bachelor in architecture and a masters of architecture from Portland State University. He is working on McMinnville High School. Belz has nearly 20 years of experience in A/E/C marketing. Schuver has over 25 years of experience managing construction documents and construction administration on educational and health care projects. He is working on Rex Putnam High School. Jacoby has over 20 years of experience, including in the K-12 and higher education field.



Seattle-based landscape architecture firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol hired Lesley Conroy and Azzurra Cox as designers in the Washington, D.C., and Seattle offices, respectively, and Jillian Strobel as a marketing coordinator in Seattle. Conroy holds a master of landscape architecture from Virginia Tech's Washington Alexandria Architecture Center. Cox has a master of landscape architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design, and worked in Lisbon, Portugal. Strobel holds a masters in business administration from Claremont Graduate University.




AKS Engineering & Forestry promoted Blair Carlson to associate member and hired Vanessa F. Doctolero and Jason Wuertz as project engineer/project managers, and Jerry Bentz as a project construction inspector. Doctolero works in Salem-Keizer and Wuertz and Bentz in Tualatin, Oregon. Carlson is an owner, project manager in Vancouver and leads the hydrographic surveying team. Doctolero worked for Quincy Engineering in Rancho Cordova, California as an associate engineer and project engineer. She has nearly 11 years of experience in roadway transportation and structural bridge design. Wuertz has over 12 years of engineering experience, and was a city of Newberg senior engineer. Bentz has over 30 years of experience in heavy civil, commercial and residential excavation, and was a superintendent and project manager/estimator. AKS provides civil engineering, land use planning, land surveying, hydrographic surveying, forestry and forest engineering, arborist, natural resources, water rights, flood elevation surveying and permitting and landscape architecture services.

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson promoted Kyle Phillips to senior associate and Senan Choe and Ed Kranick to associate in Seattle; Michael J. Kross and Ryan L. Keerns to associate in San Francisco; Amy Cha and Anthony Pregiato to associate in Philadelphia; and Jason Brody to associate in Pittsburgh. Phillips has shown design leadership in residential projects, including Kicking Horse cabin in Jackson Hole. Choe was project manager for the first Reformation Retail Store on Valencia Street in San Francisco. Kranick's worked on the Amazon “Spheres,” and led design and documentation for Expedia's Seattle campus exterior. Kross was project architect for Square and KKR, a global investment firm in San Francisco. Keerns was project manager for the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at UC Davis. Cha has focused on institutional and corporate facilities, including the Under Armour Campus in Baltimore. Pregiato has worked on university buildings, including New College House at the University of Pennsylvania. Brody was project architect for a global entertainment company's campus in Southern California.

Ankrom Moisan Architects hired Michael Stueve to the new job of principal for user experience strategy, focusing on corporate culture, brand stewardship and integration of technology into built environments. The architect, interior designer and brand strategist has over 25 years of experience. He owned SRM Architecture and Marketing in Portland, and designed the engineering headquarters for Nutanix Corp. in Seattle.






In Seattle, AHBL promoted Craig Skipton to senior landscape project manager. In Tacoma, the firm promoted Kim Kaul to marketing and graphics manager, Bill Fierst, David Nason and Andy Pflueger to senior project manager and Garrett Devore to survey technician. AHBL provides civil and structural engineering, landscape architecture, community planning and land surveying, with offices also in Spokane and the Tri-Cities.


Rice Fergus Miller hired Jourdan Umali as an interior designer and Kurt Nelson as an architect. Umali will work on hospitality, senior housing and health care projects. Nelson will work on community and hospitality projects. The Bremerton-based firm provides architecture, interior design and planning.

In Seattle, DCI Engineers hired Stephen Bish as a CAD designer. Bish is trained in CAD and Revit, and supports residential, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use projects. DCI is a civil and structural engineering firm.

Parametrix hired Jeff Dye as a senior consultant. Dye has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, quality management and general management. He joins the environmental planning and compliance group in Seattle on the SR 520 bridge team. Parametrix provides services in transportation, natural resources, community building, water solutions, and environmental engineering and science.

Global engineering and professional services company WSP USA hired James Reed in Seattle as maritime manager for the Northwest, responsible for business development, client relations and managing projects. He has over 34 years of experience as a civil engineer and managing projects, construction, quality assurance/control and strategic assets.
