In Seattle, OAC Services hired Jon Shepherd as a senior project manager, Kurt Williams as a staff engineer, Grace Wong as an architect/engineer and Chris Priest as a marketing coordinator. Shepherd is in construction management. He has over 20 years of experience in high-rise multifamily mixed-use, office, school and TI projects. Williams is in the building enclosure/forensic architecture and engineering group. He has over 11 years of experience in building construction and aerospace. He does construction defect analysis, damage assessments and structural repair design. Wong is in the BE/FAE group. With over 11 years of experience, she does forensic investigation, assessment and repair design of existing structures. Priest has over 10 years of experience in marketing writing and coordination services for architectural, engineering, planning, survey and construction management companies.

In Seattle, Ankrom Moisan Architects promoted to associate Lauren Jones, Wendy Lamb, Katie McGough, Frances Nelson and Joe O'Toole in the architecture department, Amanda Morono and Rachel Osborne in the interiors department and Bridget Carson, Cate Chase, Nadia Tan and Phuong Truong in the firm services department. Carson is a BIM specialist and Chase is a marketing coordinator. Tan is an office coordinator and Truong is a construction administration specialist. Ankrom Moisan provides architectural, interior design, urban design and branding services, with offices also in Portland and San Francisco.

The Lakehouse

Jason Wilson, the chef-owner of Miller’s Guild, will open a new restaurant, The Lakehouse, and a cocktail bar called Civility & Unrest on Thursday in the W Bellevue hotel, which is part of Lincoln Square’s expansion in The Bellevue Collection. The Lakehouse design was inspired by the area’s early settlements, lake homes and small farms. Civility & Unrest is at street level below The Lakehouse, and was designed as a modern speakeasy. Both are owned by Wilson, and run by him and his El Gaucho Hospitality partners. Wilson will provide room service for W Bellevue, and services for the luxury apartments above W Bellevue and Lincoln Square South.

Seattle-based Magnusson Klemencic Associates promoted Sean Clifton and Adam Theiss to senior associate, and James Mahoney, Peter Range, Griffin Smith and Jana Tetikova to associate. Clifton is focused on residential, hospitality and mixed-use projects, including Marriott AC/Le Meridien in Denver. Theiss has led office and residential high-rise projects in the U.S. He is working on River Point Office Tower in Chicago. Mahoney is in the health care group working on UW Medicine Phase 3.2. Range is in the sports group working on the Detroit Redwings Event Center. Smith is in the cultural group working on Seattle Opera's expansion at Seattle Center. Tetikova focuses on high-rise housing and hotels, and is working on Trinity, a residential development in San Francisco. MKA, which also has a branch in Chicago, provides structural and civil engineering services worldwide.

TCF Architecture of Tacoma promoted Mark Hurley and Steve Wachtler to principal, Holli Smith, Andrew Hickman and Gerry Pless to senior associate, and Mona Rezvani and Scott Olson to associate. Hurley specializes in public industrial projects and has planned and designed maintenance, operations and administrative facilities for nearly a decade. He is managing projects for Kitsap County. Wachtler has over 10 years of experience on K-12 projects for clients that include the Seattle and Tumwater school districts. He co-manages the firm's project delivery systems group. Smith is an interior design architect, and manages the business development group. Hickman has led projects, including new construction and renovations, while managing the IT group. Pless works on K-12 projects and is human resources manager. Olson has worked on the Agri-plex building and renovation projects for Washington State Fair. Rezvani has graphics and project management experience, and focuses on industrial projects. She is working on projects for the Port of Olympia.
