More than 75 percent of the flooring in the Poland residence in Kennewick is decorative acid-stained concrete. To create the floors, the concrete was poured and given a hand-trowel finish. Next, the pattern and design were cut in with a hand saw and then stained. Two coats of wet-look lacquer sealer were then applied. After the sealer dried, a sanded grout was applied to the saw cuts. The floor was then finished with five coats of traffic coat wax to give the finished floor a durable wear surface.
