Two neighboring apartment buildings, at 235 and 247 Tacoma Ave. S., have sold for just over $8 million, according to broker Paragon Real Estate Advisors.

On Monday, the Seattle City Council, in partnership with Mayor Bruce Harrell, passed a new tree protection ordinance. The legislation now heads to the mayor for his signature and will take effect 60 days after it's approved.

68 Bellingham units planned for downtown corner

Up in Bellingham, what most would call the Color Pot corner, at 1210 N. State St., is bound for sale and redevelopment. Local investors and architect Arbour North are proposing a new seven-story, 68-unit apartment building. The first design review will be held on June 6.
