Deploying speed cushions, Renton is putting the brakes on fast drivers

Speed cushions are designed to allow emergency vehicles to pass their wide wheels on either side of the raised area.

The city of Renton, like many cities in the region, is plagued with speeding drivers. That could change today, as crews are scheduled to begin installation of speed cushions on a section of Lake Washington Boulevard North.
